International Day of radiology
Actinology – one of medical sciences which studies use of the ionizing waves for identification and treatment of various diseases, and also those pathological states and illnesses which appear in case of contact to radioactive waves.
After scientists found for themselves a new type of matter – electromagnetic waves, they thought of way of their use in human life. Experiments enough was carried out. Some of them were dangerous, some were favorable. But exactly thanks to them now this method of treatment and diagnostics is freely used in medicine and gives good indicators on homing to people of health.
The idea of carrying out such day was from the European society of an actinology (ESR), the American college of an actinology (ACR), and also from Radiological society of North America (RSNA). To find number of celebration of such day, scientists addressed history. After an actinology people have an association at once with x-ray emission which was called in honor of the scientist who opened these waves - Wilhelm Konrad Rentgen. On November 8, 1895 Wilhelm made the conclusion and finally let know that H-waves represent.
For the first time the International Day of the Actinology was celebrated on November 8, 2012, and since then it becomes perceptible every year in world medicine. The holiday is spent differently: organize lectures, conferences, workshops, round tables and the Open Day in hospitals.
